Carriff designs and manufactures engineered knitted fabrics used in erosion and sediment control applications. Our fabrics are used to produce erosion control socks, sediment control socks, compost socks, silt socks, filter socks, sediment tubes, and wattles used to control runoff, reduce erosion, and manage sediment on construction sites and infrastructure projects.
These systems are widely used for sediment control, perimeter control, slope stabilization, ditch check dams, and stormwater inlet protection amongst others.
Unlike many commodity materials used in erosion control, Carriff fabrics are engineered for performance. The yarn selection, knit structure, and opening size are designed to balance strength, filtration, containment, and water flow so that the sock performs consistently in the field.
For higher-volume projects, Carriff can also develop custom fabrics tailored to specific fill materials and erosion control systems.
All products can be made in a variety of fabric weights, colors, and stitch densities to meet your needs, with sizes ranging from 8″ to 32″ in diameter. Please contact us to learn more.
Used in general sediment and perimeter control applications across a wide range of industries.
Provides increased strength and containment for more demanding site conditions.
A high-performance fabric for heavy-duty applications where strength, durability, and containment are critical.
Carriff fabrics are also used in erosion control wattles, straw wattles, and wattle sock systems.
Many wattles currently use HDPE extruded slit film netting. Carriff knitted fabrics provide an alternative that offers several advantages, including improved containment of fill materials, enhanced durability, improved handling during filling and installation, and a more consistent structure compared to extruded slit film netting.
Carriff is also developing erosion control fabrics using biodegradable and natural fiber materials.
These fabrics are ideal for applications where long-term synthetic materials are not desired and environmental sustainability is a priority. They support environmentally responsible sediment and erosion control practices while still providing the performance needed for effective sediment containment.
Carriff has also developed inlet filtration systems designed to capture sediment before it enters stormwater infrastructure.
These inlet protection systems allow water to pass through while containing sediment and debris. They are commonly used around storm drains, curb inlets, and catch basins on construction sites.
