Our History

Carriff-Corporation Carriff Corporation’s history dates back to the mid-1970’s when, as a division of a major manufacturer of corrugated and perforated polyethylene drainage pipes (Big “O” Inc), they introduced the original SOCK™ filter to the United States sub-surface drainage industry. In 1992, the US manufacturing facility was sold to a private investor and renamed Carriff Corporation. In 2004, Carriff Corporation was acquired by Carriff Engineered Fabrics Corporation. To this day, Carriff Corporation continues to be a major producer and supplier of SOCK™ branded, Geotextile filter fabrics. In the late 1990’s, Carriff introduced a variation of this product known as DRAIN-SLEEVE® for the contractor and DIY markets. Further diversification over the years has led them into many additional markets including erosion control, environmental spill remediation, specialized packaging and non-woven fabric conversion, only to name a few.
